Coven is a creative salon in the Madison Valley neighborhood of Seattle. We are a collective that seeks to inspire and celebrate all beings, no matter their philosophies. Coven is comfort luxury, but overall, community. We are always looking for new members to join the Coven.

    I am a dedicated professional who is passionate about challenging the negative connotations associated with frizz. I firmly believe that frizz can be embraced and celebrated, rather than being seen as a flaw. As an artist, my main objective is to empower my clients and instill confidence in their ability to embrace their chosen hairstyle while appreciating their natural hair texture.

    Beyond my work at the salon, I find solace and joy in the art of pottery. The process of molding clay and witnessing the transformation it undergoes brings me immense satisfaction. It allows me to connect with the elements of the earth - earth, air, water, and fire - and channel my creativity into tangible works of art.

    Ginger has been at Coven salon since 2022. You will recognize her by her iconic style, her pleasant voice and her welcoming nature. She’s usually the first person to greet you when you enter the salon. Beyond her expertise in connecting you with the perfect artist, her chill demeanor will calm any concerns you may have before booking any appointment!

    Outside of the salon you can find her working on her art. She’s also a big fan of DnD (and gaming in general) so it’s just as likely you’ll find her doing that.

    I am known for natural, messy, French influenced, easy to wear hair which is great because this is also my specialty. I love to do hair that compliments a client’s favorite feature.

    Outside of the salon you can find me hiking, writing, singing and picking up a barbell pretty regularly. I like to drive rally cars, and I work in order to keep my 1976 BMW in oil and parts.

    Kass is a precision cutting specialist of over 7 years experience. Kass can do almost anything with a clipper or shear. Although she is known for her barbering Kass' favorite hair to do is long layered lived in hair.

    Being a skilled fiber artist, she also has a comprehensive and unique approach to color. While working in eastern Washington she has worked with a diverse range of hair colors and textures.

    Kass' ability to charm and chat will make any client comfortable. She is outgoing and fun but if vibrant conversation isn't your thing she is happy to sit with you in silence. 

    Outside of the salon you can find Kass doing one of her many hobbies. Knitting, crocheting and even spinning her own yarn! Kass also has 2 sweet bunnies, Bun and Appa and a big boi black lab named Jethro. Her favorite karaoke song is Teenage Dirtbag by Wheetus

    I am known for bangs, medium-long length cuts, and wash and go/air dried styles. I always enjoy embracing and caring for natural hair. When it comes to hair color - balayage is my fav! Freehand painting is quite meditative and I love how low maintenance it is for my clients. When I get in the zone working on hair my voice usually turns off -  but it’s never personal! 

    Outside of the salon you can find me dancing, playing piano or ukulele, and learning Spanish and American Sign Language. I may also be spending time with my three fur babies, Ella, Juniper, and Buumi.

    Rey Hauser is a multidisciplinary artist located in Seattle WA with a BFA in Jewelry and Metal from RISD. They have studied tarot and witchcraft for over a decade as a personal practice and began their formal education at the School of Traditional Magic in 2021. Rey continues to expand their craft through daily practice and ritual. They work with their intuition and tools of divination to tap into one's energy and spirit for clarity and balance.     Meet Chloe! Chloe joined Coven salon summer 2024 and is our newest Apprentice Stylist! Chloe graduated from the Aveda Institute and they are now flourishing in Coven and ready to take on new haircut clients! Chloe loves working with curly hair and dare we say, has an amazing head of hair of their own! Chloe is quirky, openly queer and passionate about connecting with other LGBTQIA2S+ peoples. Guitar, video games and random factoids are Chloe's bag and of course exploring all things hair. In Chloe's time at Coven, their apprenticeship has been overseen by our hair pros, so you can trust you'll be in good hands! Treat yourself to a great cut and book with Chloe!

    I am known for working with thick, curly hair, curly bangs, balayage, and blonding. I would add vivids to that list as well. Really, my specialty is curls of any texture. While I am a colorist by choice, a curly haired balayage and haircut with a fashion color thrown in for spice would make my perfect day. I always endeavor to create lasting relationships with my clients. I’ll remember when you got married, when you had to say goodbye to your pet, when your son graduated, when you started therapy, but I will never remember where you part your hair. I will ask you though.

    I am also part of Coven’s management team.

    Outside of the salon you can find me spending quality time with my beautiful daughter Jo and our dog Rudy Tooty. Oh and my husband too.

    I am known for working with curls, effortless bobs, dynamic mullets, and supernatural reds. I specialize in curls of all types, razor cutting, dry cutting, and balayage. I will never tire of bobs and mullets! I feel strongly that everyone should stop apologizing for their hair when you come in! Our space is a judgment free zone! You don't have to apologize if it's tangled, dirty, sweaty etc.! We're just happy to have you with us! (but if it is super tangled… help us out before you come in, if you can!)

    Outside of the salon you can find me hanging with my dog Sylvan and my two cats. And I love thrifting, antiquing, and baking... basically I'm a grandmother.
